Here it is guys! 10 days worth of entries.

==============================
Copied from Index Cards:
Card 1:
Altitude – 32,000 feet.
Speed – 560 mph
Temp -  -45 FTraveling a total of 6490 miles. I got a Chicken Cacciatore hobby kit...hahaha...
There's a really pretty and cute stewardess with sky blue glittery blush and
sky blue eyeliner. She's also got a really cute voice... x_X.

The shades are closed, and it just feels like night time.
Check that, it feels like Viejas.

Movie #1: 50 First Dates
Thoughts: Good movie, nice ending, but it felt a little short.

Going to try to pull an “all-nighter” and not sleep at all on the flight.

Simpson's and Philosophy: Bumpy reading at best. Deep stuff.

Was asked whether or not I wanted red wine...no age restrictions?

There's a VERY nice lean to the seats.
And the SkyCatalog has cigarettes with the brand “LONGLIFE”. Haha, the irony...

And I gotta stop checking out the stewardesses. They're all really pretty though.

Card 2:
Altitude – 34000 feet.
Temp - -54 F
Halfway Through The Trip

Peaches tasted really good, so does water.

All of the stewardesses have something attractive about them. It better not
be the uniform, or I'll have officially turned into a girl.

I can see the sun through the shade for the past...well...forever.

When traveling, morale is highly important. (Walking around, brushing teeth,
feeling upbeat.)

Staying up on a flight like mine, ALSO very important...arriving at 10pm after
a full flight of sleep is dangerous.

Movie #2: Hidalgo
Thoughts: Really good, IMO. Slow beginning, but good ending. Really enjoyed
the idea that Hidalgo is “pure mustang.” Just sounds COOL.

1:20 am. A LOT of people sleeping.

New found friends: Yellowcard and Allister.

Gay guys making out, whooo...

LoL, stewardess came and asked if I want Cup Noodles, HAHAHAHAHAAAAA...

Card 3:
Altitude- 39000 feet.
Speed - 309 mph
Temp - - 63 F
Time left: 1:26

At the pace that we're going, the last hour and a half should be freaking CAKE.

Movie #3: Walking Tall
Thoughts: Not bad action, unfortunately, that's about it.

Movie #4: Spartan
Dark, gritty and convoluted. Needs to be played out smarter.

So I was being served a 2nd Dinner, so to speak. The stewardess came by, and
she asked me whether or not I want “Italian style noodles” or “Pork *something*".
Dialogue is as follows:

Would you like Italian Style Noodles or Pork *something*?
How about you pick for me? (Wasn't too sure how to say “surprise me” in Chinese.)
Are you sure? (shy smile)
Yeah, whatever you want to pick for me.
You'll eat anything? (now with an embarrassed smile)
Sure. Whatever you want to pick out.
Here you go then... (shyly)
Thanks! (HUGE SMILE on FACE.)

Hahahaha, OMG that was the BEST, making one of the stewardesses's all blushing,
lol.

There's a little kid to my right, and she's holding a fork with a ravioli speared
on the end, but she's not eating, she's just watching TV. LoL.

Almost up for about 21 hours, so cracked out.

OMG, the stewardess just stood in front of me for like 3 minutes... she's so pretty
and so cute! I need help, WTF. She has to be at LEAST 25 or something, and the
only thing I want to do is talk to her. By talk I mean flirt. Goddammit, I'm
shameless.

Card 4:
I got to talk to the stewardess! She looked so tired while we were “de-planeing”
(why not un-planeing?), so I decided to talk to her. She was trying so hard
to hide her yawns and her heavy eyelids. I asked her how long she was up, and
she said 10 hours...I told her she was in a hard line of work and that I really
appreciated her, and she blushed pink through her blue blush, and said thank
you. She's just so pretty and CUTE. I wish I could ask her out, LoL.

I gave my cherries to the stewardesses since I couldn't take it into Taiwan.
They were quite happy, hahahah...

Step out of the aircraft = = stepping into a freshly hot showered bathroom.

Saw the slowest moving cop on the face of the planet. Lights flashing, sirens
blaring, he was traveling like 50 km/h.

There's no plug in my room, dammit.

CANNOT DRINK TAP WATER. CRAZY MEXICO.

Card 5:
In the morning, after waking up at 7:45AM.

Had less than 8 hours of sleep and WIDE AWAKE NATURALLY. WTF.

I'm guess that it's just humid, and it feels like I'm breathing in a WALL.
That and there's just all these annoying sounds going on outside

I'm sleeping like a true Taiwanman, lol. I'm sleeping on a STRAW MAT with a
thin beach towel as a blanket. And I really don't mind, it's kinda cool!

Card 6:
The heat's not as bad as I thought. It's the humidity that kills me. It just
feels like I'm breathing water rather than air.

I visited my goddess's temple today, and it's extremely impressive. But what's
even more impressive is that it's not even the final temple. They're constructing
a bigger temple. Pictures to follow much later.

Now for the servant, helper. She's supposed to help my grandparents and everything,
but she's Viet and she doesn't understand a single word of Taiwanese, Chinese,
English, etc, etc. I feel so sorry for her because my grandparents don't really
have the patience to teach her everything. The language barrier has got to be
the worst, since she's half learning Taiwanese and Chinese and getting thoroughly
confused on both.

I really want to reach out and help her, but the only efficient way that will
work is to get key phrases in Viet and check if she's learning and try to explain
everything painstakingly.

You don't understand how many times I just kind of burst out in English saying
she should just do this. The kicker is that she just doesn't truly understand
a single word that I'm saying. And that's what makes it difficult.

And I know my grandparents are paying her and everything, but I can't help
but clean up after myself, but they just tell me to leave it for her. She responds
to the name “Ah-Wan” but I don't even know if that's her real name. It's just
hard to communicate since there's nothing to fall back on except for hand motions
which are rudimentary at best. And if I get even a little bit frustrated, I
revert back to English and we're back to square one since she needs to learn
Mandarin.

I just don't feel good “using” her, even though that's her job. She's already
having such a hard time, and really all my grandmother can really say is that
“Ah-Wan” isn't really learning anything, but I attribute that to the language
barrier. Since we don't have anything to communicate, not even a goddamned drawing
or diagram.

I really want her to be efficient by the time I leave. And I've kind of made
it a personal mission. ::sigh::

Tired. Sleep.

July 11th, 2004 – Sunday

9:15 am

This is the 2nd time I've woke up by myself before 8:00 am. This country is
making me weird. Either that or it's always freaking bright and uncomfortably
warm by 7:30 am. Either that or the huge number of cicadas that live outside
of my window wake me up all the damn time.

In any case, I noticed that everything in Taiwan is tiled. This is probably
to fight against the fact that it's always so humid. But everything has this
nasty hue to it, and all of the grout in the tile is black and everything from
it being so damn humid and warm.

There's like no such thing as carpeting in Taiwan, which makes sense just because
it would end up being moldy or something shitty like that. I've finally come
to understand why Taiwan looks and smells the way it does, and it has to do
with its weather. It's ALL about the weather. I see why their entrances always
go up before it comes down on the ground floor: this is to combat flooding.
I see why they have open gutters and sewers: this is to combat excessive rain.
I see why their bathrooms are completely tiled with drains inside and outside
of the shower. Instead of mopping the floor, or wiping it or something, they
simply take the showerhead and just wash down the entire bathroom.

When I grow up and I'm designing a bathroom, I'm going to adopt that design.
It's so much more efficient.

There's so much mildew on the glass outside, it's kind of nasty. But what can
you do about it? Windex wouldn't get it off, because it's mildew.

It would also explain why everything is rusted here: the storm drains, the
lamp posts, bikes, everything.

8:05 pm
What an interesting day. Let's outline:

9:50 am: Got on the piano. Have a relatively good re-grasp on “To Zanarkand”.
Definitely made my grandmother happy to hear piano sounds again.

10:40 am: Went upstairs to uncle's place so we could leave together to go to
a restaurant. They have a dog called “Rou-Rou”, roughly translated as “Meat-meat”.
My uncle named him hunter, seeing as he's a beagle, and he's about 2 months
old. All I can say is that he freaking reeks of dog. Can't freaking stand it
sometimes, especially when it’s hot and the smell just lingers. Not to mention,
even though he's a puppy, he really misbehaves. A lot.

In any case, I lose track of time at about here. Let me detail about my uncle
and his cars. He owns a Mazda MPV and just yesterday, acquired a brand spanking
new LS430. Let me tell you about that car...power seats in the REAR. CD control
in the REAR. Incredible car, and extremely roomy, that's for sure. I don't know
if I can justify spending however much he spent for it, since I'm all for a
“driver's car” as opposed to a “chauffeur car”. My uncle wants to get an SC430.
The only thing I can do is shake my head. I really look down upon that 4.3 liter
$90,000 sports car. I would much rather buy a Fairlady, or a RX-8, or a WRX.
I’ll talk to him about that later. He might just be in it for the luxury.

So we go to this restaurant, where the food is supposed to be absolutely fantastic.
I sit down next to my grandmother and my cousins.

[ Let me tell you about my cousins. I don't feel old, but they're all definitely
grown up. My oldest cousin is 27 (?) but I haven't had any problems communicating
or relating to him, since I don't get the vibe that he's 27, you know? Not to
mention, he speaks fluent British-English, so I get along with him really fast.
Next are my uncle's two sons. “Da4 Wei3” and “Da4 Yu3 a.k.a Jerry”; the last
time I saw both of them, they were a lot shorter than me. Jerry is now slightly
shorter than me and Da4 Wei3 is friggin taller than I am. That's an eye-opener.
Next two cousin's are a brother-sister. “Yi4-Jie2” and “Yi4-Wei3”; the last
time I saw Yi4 Wei3, he was still playing with Transformers. Now he's freaking
16 (?). And Yi4 Jie3, well, she's just grown up. Geez, it's insane just thinking
about it. The only cousin's I haven't met are two girls that my second uncle
has. He lives in New Zealand.

I'm really happy about meeting them, but so far it's been a little awkward.
They're not really hesitating to talk, but there's not much to talk about, having
not seen them for at least 6 years? At least with my oldest cousin, Michael,
I saw two summers ago. I feel guilty for talking to him so much, but it just
feels natural. ]

Anyway, back to the restaurant. We get served all this food, and I mean all
this food. Flavored rice, lobsters, lobsters, lobsters, fish, sausage, chicken….just
so much food. And the thing is I'm sitting next to my grandmother.

[ I realize today that mothers and grandmothers will just be mothers and grandmothers.
Doesn't really matter how old they are, they will mother you to the end of time.
To my annoyance, my grandmother just would not stop putting food on my plate
no matter how many times I said that I'll help myself. Even my grandfather told
her to stop, but she hella wouldn't. I know she's mothering me, but really,
you know? I'm caught between a hard spot and a harder spot. If I show annoyance,
I'm ungrateful. But if I allow it to continue…well, it'll continue. Maybe I'll
sit next to my grandpa next time.]

So we eat all this food, and it's just absolutely fantastic. Except for the
fact that every time I stop and think that there's no more food, more food comes
out. It's fucking insane. 5 plates of food, and I'm like…pretty good, when plate
after plate keeps coming out. And they're not coming out successively either,
they're coming out at something a little faster than a snail's pace, and slower
than a turtle's pace. So just when I was done, something new keeps coming out
goddammit. That's my only complaint for the day. Not that I should be complaining,
I ate like a mother carrying twins.

Anyway, we finally finish our food at like 2:00 pm by my estimate, and I take
my second aunt's car back with her husband, Yi4 Jie3 and Yi4 Wei3. Man, it was
a sort of awkward ride since neither of them would really talk to me...it was
my aunt doing all of the questioning and me doing all the answering. Every now
and then my cousins would laugh or giggle when they hear my answer, but that
was it. They only started talking to me after we got back to my grandparent's
place.

So we pretty much hung out and watched 2 movies and Fear Factor at my grandparent's
place. It was sort of fun, and yet kind of boring at the same time. There's
nothing interactive about watching a movie. And we were watching Passenger 57
and a movie involving Kevin Kline and a school. Believe me, nothing interactive.
Fear Factor was a little better, since we talked about how gross it was for
people to mash worm juice with their feet and then down it.

I started talking to Michael more and more as the night wore on, and yes the
company he works for is in charge of distributing aftermarket car parts. SO
GOOD, OH SO GOOD. We’ll see what I do tomorrow. First day of “work”. Or “internship”.

I want to play the piano, but it's getting late, and my grandmother has definitely
gone to bed. Not to mention I actually feel tired at 8:35 pm. These 12+ hour
days are definitely going to do me in, but I'll figure a way out. The main thing
is being able to sleep deeply and get well rested even though I get woken up
by breathing in the Great Wall of China and bombarded by cicadas.

I wonder how much I weigh now. I need to find some way to work out, or lose
weight, since I'm just being fed constantly. Super doting grandparents and relatives,
oh the insanity.

Alright, I should probably wrap this one up and hit the showers and then hit
the straw mat, you know how I do, lol.

July 12th, 2004

8:00 am
My first day working, interning whatever. I'm sitting at the table with my
grandparents. Since I'm supposed to be wearing long pants at least for today,
I'm wearing jeans. Ah, My Goddess! get me thru this day! LoL...

In any case, a couple of things happened between posts last night.

1) I got bitten by mosquitoes.

2) I made out with Keira Knightley.

Holy shit, you just can't believe it, can you? I got bitten by mosquitoes!

I got bitten in 3 places, one on each leg and one on my arm. I can't say it
was pretty when I woke up. However, I took a vitamin B and a Claritin as soon
as I woke (like 5am), and when I really got up at 7:00 am, they were gone, OH
YEAH.

Gotta go, will finish post later!

3:15 pm
So far so good. Mainly, it's doing a lot of translating, interpreting and editing.

6:15 PM
Technically I'm off of work, but my Michael's still working, so I'm still working.
Sort of. Anyway, Keira Knightley will just have to wait until I go home. =D.

8:00 pm
I feel so dead tired, but that's okay. I will stay up a little longer before
I head to bed. But first things first!

Work today was interesting. All translating and orientation in both trying
to figure out what they want me to do. Essentially, I'm just something that
I could more appropriately be called ENGLISHMAN. Yeap. Pretty much correcting
grammar and the engrish in the booklets they call manuals. No matter, I will
set them straight. It is up to me!

Next, RICERS. So the company that I'm working at also deals with car parts.
Of course not many car parts can go to my car, but there are definitely things
I can get: torque wrenches, shift knobs, LEDS, Neons...LoL. Taiwan's freaking
RICE CITY...modders freaking everywhere, and not always in good taste either.
So I will show them up with my Matrix. Not that they've EVER SEEN ONE. Shit,
I don't even remember what my car looks like anymore. TOO MANY CARS HERE.

So Keira Knightley! She's so hot...too bad she also like...screwed over Natalie
Portman. Not that Natalie Portman ever outgrew the role of the girl from the
Professional. Or Queen Amidala. Unfortunately, that's about it. Keira Knightley...well...she
got into a pretty great role what with Pirates of the Caribbean (can I say wet
gown scene?) Or how about Love Actually, where she's just friggin hot?

So I dream that she's in a grocery store, and I spot her. I go up to her and
ask if she's Keira Knightley. She's about to mouth out no, when I stop her and
tell me the truth, because I hate liars. She then says “Yes. I am.” So I start
taking pictures of her. She naturally gets annoyed really fast and starts running
from me and hiding from my camera. I tell her that I'm just teasing her and
that's just the way I am with friends. So we somehow become friends really fast.
In her room and sitting on her bed, I ask about her first boyfriend, and she
tells me about losing her virginity to a boy named Adam Richards. Lucky Adam.
She then flops on the bed and I lean over her, and she says “Now you can't say
that you're not attracted to my looks.” I kind of smile and start kissing her.
It was so freaking hot...let me tell you. Anyway, it's the last time
I really see her because some kind of escapade involving motorcycles occur,
and something about Stanely, Gary, Andrew and me protecting a sheet of paper
about Keira's whereabouts (
Yeah, that's right, I'm on a first named basis with
Keira.
) We hear people coming, so we quickly hide it in a piano, and then realizing
it's a bad idea, tear the piano apart. Two people come up with guns. To make
a long story short, Andrew kicks one of them, I disarm the other one, shoot
him and hold the other one at gunpoint.

At that point I wake up. And thus began my day of work.

Oh Keira...how you get me...LoL.

July 13th, 2004

8:37 am
Ok, so my mosquito bites are turning freaking nasty. They're swollen to the
size of massive proportions and really, I hate that I always react to bites
this way. For me, either I react, or I don't. No where in between. If I react,
it blows up. If it doesn't, it just disappears. Damn. I hate that.

Anyway. Interesting news for today. Apparently wearing flip-flops will cause
impotency according to my grandfather according to some kind of study. I better
go knock up some girl and find out.

That and my uncle's inviting me to go buy betelnuts, or “Taiwan's Chewing Gum”.
I read up on it, and I can't say it's appealing. It rots your gums, stains your
teeth red, and requires you to spit a lot. In addition to that, it's addictive
and not exactly very forthcoming. Not that I didn't know that already. What
I didn't know is that to make the betelnut work, you need the betelnut, the
leaf of the plant, and lime. Not the lemon/lime lime…but the lime that goes
on to our lawn. Or the lime that helps bodies decompose. Makes you wonder who
sat there to figure this shitty ass combination out to make something “good
tasting.” I might try chewing the betelnut, but then again I might not. It's
not like smoking where I can choose not to inhale. It's supposed to give you
a wild buzz if you take a lot of it at once. Makes me wonder about the taxi
drivers, really.

Okay. Time to start work!

2:15 pm
Editing and making sure the manual doesn't come out as Engrish isn't too bad,
but the Benadryl I've been taking to ward off my swelling has been really fucking
me up. My eyes feel so droopy, and I feel so drowsy. In any case...
I went to 7-Eleven for lunch. Now before you start yammering, “7-Eleven?! You're
really living it up over there...” Let me explain.

Apparently 7-Eleven sell decent food in Taiwan. They sell tea leaf eggs, and
noodles, and stewed meat and dumplings and Japanese style, for lack of a better
word, hors durves, however you spell it. I ended up getting cold noodles, a
tea leaf egg, a chicken leg and milk tea pudding . My cousin pretty much got
what I did, and there were 2 drinks on top of that. The total came to 218 NT...divide
that by 33, and you get $6.60. We were both pretty full by the end of lunch.
I know I could have eaten more cheaply, but I’m certainly not complaining, being
comfortably full for 3.30 is fantastic. Hell, it costs less than a Cotixan's
burrito.

Apparently 7-Eleven acts like a small postal service too. You can also order
cookies and chips and what not through 7-Eleven as well. If you see cookies
that you want, say in Thailand's 7-Eleven, you can order it through your local
Taiwanese 7-Eleven, and they'll send it to there, where you can pick it up.
It's like...a Cookie Postal Service. For your Secret Snack Chamber. Or the Emperor's
Secret Snack Chamber!

We'll see how the eating goes...I've literally spent NO money at all in Taiwan.
Everyone else has been picking up the tab. We'll wait until the weekend to see
how much money I really spend. Back to work, you know how I do. LoL, my new
catch phrase.

6:13 pm
I just got an email from RayY about an exec retreat. I feel like such crap
because I can't make anything because it’s all in San Diego, 500 miles away
from home. GAH.

In any case, one of the women here at the PROTEUS office just asked if anyone
wanted a mouse as a pet. Though, I think they were just talking about hamsters.
MAN, I WISH I COULD TAKE ONE! LoL.

8:40 pm
So it's been a pretty accomplished day. Fully edited a manual. Man, it took
much longer than I thought it would, but it's done.

Anyway, my grandmother found out that I lived off campus and that I can cook
for myself. Of course, she doesn't really believe me. Is it that hard to believe
that I can actually cook and do my own laundry? Grandmothers....really....

Aside from the bug bites, I've been really enjoying my time in Taiwan so far.
I'm sleeping like a working person would...early. Heat's not as bad as I thought
it would be either, but I fricking need to go shopping this weekend. I think
my co-workers might get a little grossed out by me wearing the same jeans every
day. The only other pair of pants I have is a dressy pair of pants, and I can’t
exactly show them up with my style. But you know how I do, LoL.

Anyway, I have the ability to get online at work, and I'll try to post this
as soon as I can.

Not much else to say. We'll see what other work I have tomorrow since I finished
fully revamped their manual today.

July 14th, 2004

8:35 am
Not much to say, except that I can't add to Blogger or access Yahoo!Mail from
work. Will try later.

I'm hoping my mosquito bites have run their course. But we'll see. I feel like
they're getting progressively worse.

That and one of the guys who works here owns a riced out purple civic hatchback.
It's kind of funny, because the guy's like 40. LoL. I need to own a riceball.

10:03 am
Finished looking over the manual and I think it's fine, the only problem is
the guy that I'm supposed to give it to is in a conference. That means I better
figure out something to do.

3:05 pm
Doing translating. It's essentially all I'm doing. I really don't mind, but
we'll see how far I go with this.

7:55 pm
It feels like a hurricane's coming through the house, condo, apartment whatever.
The point is that a typhoon is coming and the wind speed is just absolutely
INSANE. I'll be sitting there minding my own business, watching some stupid
Japanese show on TV when this wind will freaking rip right through the house.
I've never felt anything like it. It's cool, when I think about it.

I've come to the conclusion that I like working, at least for now. I don't
know whether or not the novelty will wear off, but so far, I love it.

That and almost every single guy in the damn company smokes. I should follow
suit, lol.

July 15th, 2004

8:36 am
Somewhat dressed up for work. Can't say I don't like it, but I definitely know
that I'm not going to “fit in” today.

That and it's kinda warm inside the office right now. Hopefully the A/C will
kick in faster.

Typhoon didn't sweep Taiwan, it just brushed up against the southern tip of
it and that's it.

Need to go buy more pants this weekend.

And you know it's going to be a long day when you forget your headphones at
home. GUH.

1:14 pm
Only in Taiwan do you get Seaweed Flavored Lay's.

I gotta start eating healthier. I weighed myself 2 days ago, and I was 175.
Eating too much good food here.

8:30 pm
At work, I feel useful and not at the same time. I'm doing a lot of work involved
with translating, and I'm now some sort of “English Consultant”, since several
people have come up to me to ask about how to phrase or market things in America.
I like the work, and I don't have a problem with it, but I'm hoping that I'll
see the fruits of my labor, you know? My fear is that they're giving me all
this work and it's not going to see the light of day.

Other than, that I don't mind waking up early every morning, and going to work
from 8:30 to 5:30. I really want to experience Taiwanese “teenage” life for
a change though. Should try drinking in Taiwan…that and smoking, hahaha….

I have decided that all I want to wear at work is casual clothing. Getting
dressed up to go to that work to sit in that chair for 9 hours is overrated.
I should probably go to sleep though. The thing is, if I go to sleep now and
I get up at 7, I'll get more than 9 hours of sleep. Maybe this is why I really
don’t mind getting up so damn early since I go to sleep so damn early. This
is pretty routine…but I can see how people don't have time for anything.

July 16th, 2004

11:13am
I'm slacking on the journals, I really am. I've kind of fallen into the groove
here at work, and it's great. On the other hand, I can only talk to my friends
at night when I'm work in the morning. But it's been good so far…talked to Kat,
Rach, Laurie, Irene...all good so far.

11:13pm
Going to make this entry pretty short, but here goes.

My second uncle came today, he's going back to New Zealand tomorrow. He's such
a cool guy, much more outspoken than my first uncle is. In any case, had a pretty
normal day at work today. I do need to say something though. One of my co-workers,
she's got a pretty nice body, and shes like all cutesy and everything, but
she's not pretty if that makes any sense. I could see someone being attracted
to her, but definitely not me. In any case, she wore this hot black one piece
skirt number today, and it just looked HOT. Too bad she's not PRETTY. Anyway,
came back...ate food...had dragonfruit for the first time in my life...pretty interesting...found
out a lot about what my grandfather collected and what's he's all about...

Lol, my second uncle thinks the best meat in the world is dog meat. His opinion,
won't find out until I try it. My grandfather has apparently tried cat meat.
And no, I don't mean pussy goddammit, I mean CAT MEAT. World War II apparently.
So many things about my relatives if I just get them on the right topic, hahaha...

Okay, in any case...I'll be living in Taipei tomorrow with my first cousin, so
we'll see how this goes. It should be a good weekend filled with shopping and
debauchery. YES.

Laters!

July 17th, 2004

In a nutshell:

0830-1230: went to work.

Afterwards, my cousin and I picked up his girlfriend, Stephanie, and his other
friend, Jason, and went to Xin1 Men2 Ding1 to buy pants I needed. (I only brought
one pair of pants back and I needed them for work, why not.). I ended up getting
Marlboro pants, LoL. I really like them! But I did have some problems buying
them...who knew that all pants came way too long and that they customize it to
the length you want AFTER? Shit....

After Jason got two pairs of shoes, and picked
up his girlfriend, Kelly, we left for Warner Brother's Village Movie Theater
to watch “Flying Daggers” or something. Movie with Andy Lau and Zhang Zhi Yi.
PRETTY GOOD is all I really need to say. I liked it a lot.

Anyway, after, we went to eat shabu shabu, and just talked to until pretty
late.

That's Saturday night in a nutshell.

July 18th, 2004

In a nutshell:

Woke up at 1015am, went to lunch with my cousin, my grandparents and my aunt
at the Hyatt Sushi Bar. Man it was SO GOOD. Sashimi all over the place and fantastic
food to boot. I ate myself COMPLETELY full.

After, my cousin and I picked up his girlfriend and the same two people from
yesterday, we went bowling. Scored a 50, 117 and 123, so not too bad, lol. After,
we went to eat a “Drunken Chicken” place. Essentially, it’s a place where they
start you off with clam soup, and then on a shabu shabu like burner, you eat
chicken that's got a liquor sauce. You eat the chicken, and then after, the
waiters put noodles, pig blood, and other stuff in it and you eat it with the
liquor sauce all cooked in and everything. Pretty good, but I was so full from
lunch I couldn't really enjoy it much.

In any case, when I went back, my cousin ended up giving me the pants that
I really wanted, which was a pair of army green combat pants. It's made by a
company called Jungle Hardwear from England. It's like 40 bucks a pair. I wanted
something similar to it and found it in Taiwan, but it was like 45 bucks, so
I didn't buy it. My cousin just gave me his since he has like 5 pairs of pants,
so that made me REALLY happy. Got the pants I want to. All I need to do now
is buy shoes, shorts, clothes...and STUFF. HAHAHA so much stuff.

2;30 pm.

And boredom ensues. I could ask for something to do, but I just don't feel
like it.

I had the company lunch box today. Not bad, but now I'm REALLY REALLY full.
I really don't eat like I used to, that's for sure.

Other than that, nothing new for today. Except for the Frito's. They're shrimp
chips in Taiwan, lol. No such thing as corn chips I believe.

I totally need to drive like a heinous bastard in Taiwan. I need to. It'd be
so fun...lol.

Ok, back to work.
