alright. so let me fill you in on what happened from wednesday and so forth.

wednesday:
had a professional event about business communications, but learned everything but. honestly, i was glad all of the people i invited to come never showed up. the speaker definitely said nothing about business communications, but he did go onto other topics, being a delta sig himself. after the event, we went to chipotle to eat. i had a burrito bol, but i would've actually preferred the burrito. there's something unfulfilling about getting a burrito in a bowl, but not getting as much filling. had a midterm the next day, so i told calvin that i'd study at his place.
stayed over at calvin's a little longer than necessary. crystal, magus, calvin and i studied until roughly 4 o'clock before we all went back home to turn in.

thursday:
test day. got up at 830 to study and then went over to calvin's to study more. the test was definitely hard, but i feel like i did better than my first midterm.
after the test, calvin and i then picked up melody to go over to SDSU to participate in a pre-screening for a hearing experiment. the experiment basically means that some of us take placebo pills, others take anti-oxidants which are supposed to help protect your hearing. we then go to a club, party for two hours, and then perform the hearing test again and see how we do. melody, calvin and i all agreed that after a concert, we'd all fail the hearing test miserably. calvin decided he was hungry, melody seconded the motion and we all headed for pho for dinner.

melody's a freaking monster. she easily eats more than i do, and at the same time, she has multiple meals a day. i don't mean 3 meals a day, i mean 5 or 6. i'll show you later.

after sending melody home, calvin and i got stuck in some major major traffic. there was apparently a giant accident on I-15 and everyone get rerouted elsewhere, which meant some serious cramming in la jolla and the area. i went to class, consequently fell asleep 4 times before leaving early to go to the DSP GBM. it was a pretty short meeting for me so it mostly consisted of us hanging out in the meeting room just talking and what not. poor angie had a test the next day so she was furiously studying while we were all joking around and basically being ourselves. wished her good luck, and then followed calvin, annie, dan, vince, and melody to the charbroiler where they all ate, and i stayed cheap and drank water. i just felt really bad for continually eating out, spending money...and the whole deal.

melody finished her own bowl of chicken, beef and rice, then proceeded to finish off dan's bowl. told you she was a monster. i went back to calvin's place to pick up my car, came back to my own place to grab a little something to eat, and my unfinished homework and drove back to calvin's place to finish the homework up.

quote of the day: calvin says to a girl he doesn't know, "What are you wearing?" Consequently Melody and I start cracking up. You had to be there.

friday:
got up early because i had an agreement with steven to go turn in the homework. consequently, i was up at 9 after falling asleep at 3. at the same time, while i was up at 9 and did not have a class until 1, steven was happily sleeping in bed. this meant i had to drive my ass to school to turn in my homework at 11, and then have several hours to burn. so i did several things:

a) changed the foglights in my car. my car is now completely outfitted with sylvania silverstars, so my headlights are nice and bright.
b) took out some trash.
c) overslept my 1 o'clock class.

yes, that's right, i overslept my 1 o'clock class even though i was up at 9. i blame this on angie. i was talking to her online and conversation was as follows:

me: i'm sleepy.
angie: so...you have a lot of time before your next class. take a nap!
me: that's a good idea!

blast it all, i overslept till 1:30. then i realized that i needed to register for my classes. so i stopped everything and registered my classes, which goes as follows:

econ 173, econ 170a, econ 172b, econ 120c.

the best part? the times are as follows in the same order: 800-920, 930-11, 1230-150, 200-320.

and the next crazy part? all classes are on tuesday and thursday.

so after flipping out and going insane (because i hate tu/th classes because i get antsy really fast), i hopped on my bike and went toward school to my second and final class of the day.

some white guy with brown spiked hair in a black t-shirt, and white shorts thought it'd be really funny to grab the handle bar of my bike while i was traveling at 12 miles per hour or so.

he grabs my handle bar, i consequently swing around in a very tightly wound circle, and then get thrown off my bike. i land pretty nicely on my right shoulder, and my right hip. i also, at the same time, land on my phone.

so i get up, and i'm pissed off. i was going to chase the ass down and beat him till he cried with my broken phone, but he was a good 300 feet away by the time i was up. i had my bike and everything, but felt that it wasn't worth it to chase after him when i was already late to my next class, so i accepted my unguarded defeat, and picked everything up and kept going to school.

my phone's not broken. just the screen. so if you guys get a call from me, and i ask for another guy, or another girl...don't think that i'm cheating on you. it's just my phone is broken, and i can't tell who i'm calling. i'll get a phone later.

anyway. fast forward to the evening.

i called melody up, and she said that she woke up 2 hours ago. and she's hungry. again.

so i offered her a steak since i only have 8 of them in my fridge at the time. she accepted, so i cooked up the steak and then went over to ERC to pick her up to go to Vince's place after.

so she eats the steak while i'm watching her TV in their spankin' new ERC apartments. It turns out to be Star Wars Episode II. It's nice to watch Star Wars again, but at the same time, i loathed hayden christensen for being a jedi. he just doesn't belong. then again, neither does natalie portman. she usually has too much clothing on anyhow.

melody announces that she's done and we can leave, so we start walking toward my car @ pangaea. she then asks if we can stop by the shopping center for some food.

i fucking told you so. she's a monster. she may be 5'4", but goddamn, that girl can fucking pack food in her like no other.

we stop by rubio's and grab a fish taco, and then arrive @ vince's place at 10.

we all get to drinking, jason get's crazy, and we all have some good fun.

by the time irene comes, who's supposed to be my "mother" for DSP, i've got 2 shots in me and a couple of bottles of......stuff.

she takes a shot of JD with Magus, and then proceeds to go over the agenda for Monday's meeting. we actually did a pretty good job, seeing as how I was getting buzzed, and she took a shot of JD on an empty stomach.

when we were done, jason calls lightning round again, and another shot of bacardi limon goes down. everyone retreats back to wherever they came from, and i sit down with irene and start talking to her about delta sigma pi and the goals we want as a charter, and the goals we want as individuals.

dan comes in, and joins in the conversation. we talk more about delta sigma pi. i'm going somewhere with all the commentary about delta sigma pi.

at ths point in time, i'd like to announce that again, melody's a freak. however, i say this in reaction to after she's got a couple of shots in her. dan and irene will attest.

we all start moving around, and dan and irene and i end up in vince's room talking more about delta sigma pi.
now, even though i was beyond buzzed, i was realizing that more and more people in delta sigma pi have the same goals as i do for the charter. and this probably isn't coincidence, but it certainly wasn't discussed amongst ourselves prior to tonight. that discussion alone with dan and irene just confirmed that delta sigma pi was for me.

irene and dan left shortly after that, and then it was me, vince, melody and robert in vince's room.

i realized a long time ago, but just to re-affirm, robert's a cool guy. no doubt. would be proud to have him as a DSP brother.

vince is an awesome guy. talks chinese like no other, and amongst melody, jason and vince, my chinese is getting some amount of practice. vince just strikes me as a very confident and cool guy.

oh yeah, and if he turns his cap around, he resembles mike shinoda just a little.

melody's just a monster. haaaa....

so thus ends my friday night when i go to sleep in my sleeping bag in vince's apartment at 5am.

saturday:
melody pokes my head awake at 6:30am. she tells me it's time to wake up. of course i'm completely thrown because her voice is really high and my alarm isn't.
calvin tells me that he got woken up by vince standing over him, and that i should be grateful that it was a girl who woke me up, and not a guy. touche.

vince gives us all a cup of coffee to sober up, and then after downing it, killing my tastebuds, we all headed off to sungod to meet the rest of DSP who were volunteering at winter wonderland.

of course, the people who were expected to be late arrived first. we stood there bitching that it was too early and cold but eventually everyone arrived and we headed off to qualcomm.

to make a long story short, we were at qualcomm for a long time.
in the morning, we stood around and talked.
then we donned our yellow shirts and walked around picking up glass that the directors thought that children would pick up and eat.
after, we stickered and bookmarked books that participants would receive.
after that, we handed out these small but ultimately useless flyers. we eventually dismissed that job for another: tying string in knots so children can make pasta necklaces out of them.
friend and i then got called out to rake the snow that was there at winter wonderland. it was there that i felt like actually killing a kid for continually asking us if he could pelt us with a snow ball. i eventually got hit, but i'll leave that story to later. calvin and annie then saved us, calling us for a lunch break.
i ate a tri-tip sandwich, which was pretty damn good, but definitely not worth the five dollars that wonderlandgoers are supposed to pay. but being a volunteer, i get the sandwich for free.
so DSP decides to go and get into snowball fight. which sounded like an okay idea, but i just didn't feel like it. just stood next to DSP members yelling "incoming!" and "medic!" and "go go go!". it was cool. but then it escalated. all the children thought it'd be great to get the people wearing yellow shirts. that meant us. so DSP just started throwing stuff wherever they could. but they got outnumbered and retreated. we decided as we walked away that we needed to get the little bastards, so this time i followed in, picking snow up and sniping at kids. one kid chucked this giant chunk of snow at me, and then followed with four snow balls. ii got pissed because at the time, i was helping a little kid up who fell. so i took a giant chunk of snow grabbed the little kid's shirt and shoved it down his shirt, gave him a hearty slap to make sure the snow stayed in there, and then made a run for it.

ok. enough of this snow crap. fast forward.

we stickered and bookmarked tons of books. and this was one of the things that made me feel good about DSP. we were all working together to achieve the same goal of finishing up all the books. and everyone was working so efficiently. and while i was standing there quietly peeling stickers, at the same time, i felt like this was definitely where i belonged, with the people of Delta Sigma Pi, Omicron Mu Gamma Colony.

a group of 9 of us after went to eat pho again. i ordered a dry rice noodle bowl with egg rolls and found that it hit my hunger better than it did a bowl of noodles.

i got back home, and i took a shower. the snow at wonderland was grimy, and the fact that i sweated from running around just made me feel absolutely disgusting. or |disgusting|. whichever you want.

i tried reading a little bit but failed, i was too tired, so i went to sleep at 630 pm.

i got a record number of phone calls last night. everyone seemed to want to talk to me while i was trying to sleep. i got a phone call at 7pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 1am. felt guilty for forgetting my mom's birthday. felt guiltier because my mom kept saying that she felt like she had no son for not calling home. i admit that i wasn't calling home, but i just plain out don't remember from time to time. whoever reads this, remind me to call my mom. she's getting worried that i'm not doing school, but getting into trouble, trying out drugs and just not being a student.

i have to admit, i've definitely not been following my normal pattern of staying home, playing games and studying, but instead, i'm going out with DSP, studying with DSP and doing events with DSP.

so i should call my mom at least, to let her keep track of me or something...

anyhow. i have a midterm tomorrow. again. i'm slowly going insane. i have homework due on friday for 120B, and i NEED a group of people to do homework with.

it's cold in SD. i'm actually bundling up.

enough procrastinating. until next time!
